Charity Donations: Audiobooks by Skyboat!

We continue to spotlight donations from dealers, members, and staff.

Oh man, but do we have a some great dealers coming to Worldcon 76!  And Skyboat Media is definitely at the top of my "Big Givers" list!

Today's mail brought three bags of mystery (as well as SF and Fantasy) in what should be a show highlight. Each bag contains seven or eight audiobook packs by Skyboat Media (https://skyboatmedia.com/) divided into those three categories.  With a value of over $125 each, we're looking forward to making a few commuter's long commutes a bit easier as they drive along having these wonderful books read to them.

The bags will be auctioned separately, but should you miss out on winning them all you can visit Skybox Media in our dealer area.

Continue to see the books covered and read more!

Charity Donations: French Larry Niven?

We continue to spotlight donations from dealers, members, and staff.

These are pretty cool, even if you don't speak French!

Donated by private collector Tim Sinniger, two limited edition French Larry Niven novels: L'anneau-Monde (Ringworld) and Le Monde Des Ptavvs (World of the Ptavvs). As we understand it, these are limited prints that would have been distributed to the collaborators in the creation of the printing.  Le Monde Des Ptavvs definitely has the mark that indicates it is one of 120 such printings. Sinniger believes the L'anneau-Monde should have had the marking, but may have been missed.  The French pages indicating the specifics of the print run are included below.

But what makes this cool are the color end sheets and plates showing characters and scenes from the books.

We have no idea what they will go for, but they're quite cool. Might be a bargain, might be a terrific bidding war!

Charity Donations: Krusty the Clown Cereal Box

We continue to spotlight donations from dealers, members, and staff.

You're either a fan, or you're not...

 You're either a fan, or you're not...

We have to acknowledge The Simpsons as being one of the most exhaustive referencer of science fiction and fandom, slavishly incorporating everything from fannish obsessions, to show parodies to celebrity "appearances."  It is one of the few cartoons that you can use the phrase "back around the turn of the century" to reference events in the still active series. So, "back around the turn of the century" there was a Simpsons promotion where 7-11 Stores were temporarily converted to Springfield's signature Kwik-E-Marts, complete with food products from the show. It went fast, and there was no more made afterwards.

This donation is a near-mint box (cereal has been removed, yes but you wouldn't have wanted to eat it) featuring Frosted Krusty O's. You know your collection of obscure fannish show props won't be complete without it!
