Call for Student Posters

Share your research with the public and possibly win a prize

The 2018 World Science Fiction Convention (worldcon76.org) is looking for undergraduate students, graduate students or post-doctoral scholars to participate in a poster competition on Saturday, Aug. 18. The convention will be at the San Jose McEnery Convention Center on August 16-20, 2018. There will be a $100 prize for the poster that best communicates science to the general public.

Poster Session

Here is an opportunity to share your research with an audience that is very interested in science, engineering and technology. The poster session will run from 10 AM to 5 PM on Saturday, Aug. 18th (set-up beginning at 9 AM), and we ask that you be at your poster from 12-2 PM to answer questions and meet the fans.

Poster Format

The poster should be no more than 4 ft. wide. If it is more than 4 ft. tall, plan to have something to weigh-down the bottom edge as it will be hanging off the bottom of the poster stand.
